Who are the McLanes?

We have been fully-appointed missionaries with the Assemblies of God since 2001 from the Michigan District. Following 12 years of youth / associate pastoring with my father, I became an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God in 2000 after completing my biblical studies through Global University. While senior pastoring at Evangel Life Assembly of God in Bad Axe, Michigan, I made my first trip to Poland. It was during my time there, God confirmed that he was calling me to Poland.

Like Abraham, it was 25 years after God's voice had called us to missions when our family arrived in Warsaw, Poland in April 2002. During our first term, which included language study, we both taught English classes at the Warsaw Theological Seminary (WST). It was also during this time, with the help of Builder's International, that ground was broken for a new seminary building project on the campus of WST. Richard has overseen this project which is now nearly completed.

Throughout the two terms of service in Poland, we have been involved with the Polish Pentecostal Church (Kosciol Zielonoswiatkowy). Richard has preached in many churches across Poland, spoken at numerous district events, and the national congress. Over the past seven years, we have hosted 74 ministry teams, M.A.P.S. groups, guest speakers, etc. We have also ministered at Poland Teen Challenge. For two years, we have had a one-week camp for youth called "Spiritual Warfare Camp" for Poland, introducing the concept from the Michigan camp led by Pastor Louis Barnett. Lori has been involved in singing with the Sienna Gospel Choir as well as leading worship. At the current time, we are working with a new church plant in Warsaw alongside Pastor Jan Troc and his wife, Joanna.

Our Family

We have two boys, Andrew and Joshua who live in the States. Both of our boys spent our first term with us in Poland and have been back to visit us since. They both feel God has called them into ministry.

Andy completed his degree at Central Michigan University in December 2010 where he studied Information Technology/Business Management.

Joshua is a Sophomore at CMU where he is majoring in Broadcasting & Cinematic Arts/Graphic Design.
